Reasons for the decision:

The Council is required to consider the feedback received during the public engagement period, in particular any objections to the proposals, prior to proceeding to statutory consultation. The proposal consulted upon is aimed at improving parking opportunities for residents and businesses in the proposed Willoughby Lane controlled parking zone area and introduce effective management of kerb side space ensuring safety and accessibility.

Alternative options considered:

An alternative is to not introduce the proposed changes. This is not recommended as there is a clear need for parking controls to manage safety at junctions to ensure visibility, safety and accessibility for all who use the public highway.
