In accordance with Contract Standing Orders
8.01 and 8.02, the Head of Programme Management, Regeneration and
Economic Development, is requested to approve under their delegated
authority, the direct award of the contract for telecom surveyor
advice to Lambert Smith Hampton in the value of
£9,950.00.
Reasons for the decision:
A specialist telecom surveyor is required to
provide advice to the Council on relocation of a 5G mobile telecom
mast next to the SUV development site.
Lambert Smith Hampton is the Council’s appointed specialist
telecom surveying consultancy serving both public and private
sector property development clients. They have been briefed and
have shown a fully understanding of the brief.
Alternative options considered:
An alternative option would be to not proceed
with the commission, but this is not recommended as this will not
enable the Council and its partners to gather the necessary spatial
and travel information relating to the site.
