It is recommended that the Head of
Development, Housing Strategy and Commissioning approves the award
of a contract to Maze Fire Consulting Ltd as allowed under CSO
9.07.1c (Bid Acceptance and Contract Award) in the sum of
£31,560 excluding VAT to provide Fire Engineering services on
the Sir Frederick Messer Estate housing delivery project.
To progress the scheme by appointing a Fire
Engineer for services on the Sir Frederick Messer Estate housing
delivery project.
The Council could have procured these services
via the Architect or Lead Designer, but there were concerns that
the management process would add significant costs to the
project.
