For the Head of Programme Management, Regeneration and Economic Development to award a contract for artwork administration, installation, and design consultancy services for the value of £4,200 to BUD Studio. This is in line with Contract Standing Order 8.02.

The Wood Green Regeneration Team has carried out a procurement exercise to procure services of an artwork administration, installation, and design consultant. The Request for Quote invited a suitable artistic administration experienced professional to tender.

The advice will help the council to develop the initial 5 shutter gallery installations for Turnpike Lane.

A review was undertaken to determine whether the team could manage the complexity of the Turnpike Lane Shutter Gallery without the need for artwork administration, installation, and design consultancy and identified that expert support was required. As ‘BUD Studio’ is an expert consultant in this field, this allows us to make progress the artwork administration, installation, and design issues.

An alternative would be not to appoint, but this would mean that the Regeneration team would have to fulfil this role themselves in a less effective manner. If we do not appoint, we risk possible delays to programme a less effective outcome.
