It is recommended that the Director of Housing
,under CSO 9.07.1c (Bid Acceptance and Contract Award) the award of
a contract to Hughes and Salvidge Ltd. to demolish the existing
structures on the Ashley Road Depot housing delivery project for a
total sum of £ 290,550 plus VAT.
To progress the scheme by appointing a
contractor to demolish the existing structures on the Ashley Rd
Depot Site.
The Council could have procured these services
within the main works package but this would have delayed these
works until September and led to issues around security
etc.
