The Director approves the award of a contract
to Levitt Bernstein to RIBA Stage 2 as allowed under CSO 9.07.1c
(Bid Acceptance and Contract Award) in the sum of £ 499,000
excluding VAT to provide a Lead Consultant Service including
Architecture, M and E services, Structural Engineers etc for the
ARD project.
To progress the scheme by appointing a Lead
Designer.
The Council could have procured these services
separately but this could have delayed the programme and create
other issues le Scope gaps etc. Given the Council's desire to
develop the scheme directly other options such as disposal, JV's
etc are not applicable
