1) Approves the award of contract to UK Gunite Limited for the
quoted sum of £151,881 with a contract period of 20
weeks.
2) Approves the total project fees of £19,737 and notes the
cumulative project cost of £171,618.48.
3) Approves the recommendations in the exempt part of this
report.
Reasons for the decision:
Approval of the scheme quotation is required
to allow essential urgent main flat roof renewal works to start on
site. UK Gunite Limited have submitted the most economically
advantageous tender.
Alternative options considered:
Haringey Council has responsibility for
maintaining the structural integrity of its housing
stock under the Housing Acts. The option of not
undertaking these repairs would leave the
Council open to legal challenge and future
disrepair claims.
