That the Head of Programme Management for
Regeneration and Economic Development to approve a contract award
under CSO 10.1 to Jan Kattein Architects for design services
relating to the Gladstone Avenue Parklet for RIBA Stages 0-6. For
the sum of £14,320.
A procurement exercise to appoint services of
a team of architects to develop a detailed design for the Gladstone
Avenue Parklet. The Request for Quote invited suitably qualified
architects / consultants to develop a co-designing, engagement and
delivery plan for the project.
A Request for Quote (RFQ) was issued on 18.01.2021 and 3 tenders
were received. The tenders were evaluated and the tender with the
highest overall score of 79.16% was ‘Jan Kattein
Architects’.
The project will be a co-client arrangement between Haringey
Council and GrowN22 and funding has been secured with GrowN22 via
the GLA’S Grow Back Greener initiative.
Officers considered carrying out this exercise
internally using existing resources. After careful consideration
and considering the wide range of expertise and skills required to
develop the designs and the community engagement for the project it
was decided the aims of the project would be better served if a
team of specialist designers with a proven track record were
appointed.
