Decision Maker: Head of Programme Management

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Decision:

For the Head of Programme Management to:

(i) Approve the sum of £2,100 to deliver footfall counts as follows:-
A bespoke count of Tottenham:
- 2 no. count events, one prior to implementation of the scheme (31st January 2021) and one after (date to be confirmed)
- with 2 days for each (mid-week and Saturday)
- at around 5 or 6 points around the site of the intervention at Holcombe Market, Bruce Grove, Tottenham
- estimated cost at £1,050 for each count event

Reasons for the decision:

Appropriate performance indicators and monitoring are required for all RHSS projects as agreed between the council and the funder, which, in the case of this project included footfall counts.

Alternative options considered:

OPTION 1: DO NOT UNDERTAKE
This risks withdrawal of funding

OPTION 2: ALTERNATIVE METHODOLOGIES
Automatic footfall counters are proposed for delivery as part of the project but would not have been delivered in time to provide the initial count and would not provide the specific information required for this project
