That the Assistant Director for Housing:

1) Approves the award of contract to Gunite (Eastern) Ltd. for the
contract sum of £49,760.00 which includes a contingency sum
of £20,000.
2) Approves the total project fees of £8,141 and
notes the total project cost of £57,901.
Approval of the scheme quotation is required
to allow essential structural and void refurbishment works to start
on site. Gunite (Eastern) Ltd have submitted the most competitive
tender.
Haringey Council has responsibility for
maintaining the structural integrity of its housing
stock under the Housing Acts. The option of not
undertaking these repairs would leave the
Council open to legal challenge and future
disrepair claims.
