Decision:

The Assistant Director of Regeneration & Economic Development agrees under contract standing order 9.07.1c to award a contract to GW Commercial Cleaning in the amount of £9,740

Reasons for the decision:

Green World Cleaning have previously been contracted to provide cleaning services for offices at 639 Enterprise Centre (now The Trampery, Tottenham.). In order to ensure continued capacity for cleaning, and to ensure that offices are fit for purpose once they are able to reopen, a new contract is needed. The company is now trading as GW Commercial Cleaning and it is therefore proposed to enter into a new contract for the maximum value of £9,740. It is estimated that this will provide cover for 18 months. This has been agreed with a marginal uplift in fees to ensure payment of London Living Wage.

Alternative options considered:

The council could choose not to enter into a new contract for cleaning services; however due to Covid-19 restrictions it is vital capacity is in place both for a one-off ‘deep clean’ and for an ongoing, compliant cleaning regime once offices reopen.
