To request approval to vary a contract with Fulkers Consultancy Ltd
by £9,163.00 increasing their existing contract from
£16,882.00 to £26,045.00 as allowed under
Haringey’s Contract Standing Orders (CSO) 10.01.2
(a).
Fulkers Consultancy Ltd were awarded a contract in January 2019 for
multi-disciplinary design service to remove a mound consisting of
builder’s rubble and contaminated soil. The value of the
award was £16,882.50 based on an initial projected
construction cost of £100,000.00. Initial investigations,
intrusive surveys, design development and projected final account
offer a revised construction contract value of £256,100.00,
therefore based on a pre agreed fee rate of 10.17% the total amount
payable for the works carried out by Fulkers Consultancy Ltd will
be £26,045.00.
There are no resources within the council that have the capacity
along with the necessary experience, qualifications and expertise
to deliver this service in house.
A re-procurement exercise would not have facilitated removal and
reinstatement works during the summer school holiday.
