Director Housing to award a contract under Contract Standing Order
(CSO) 9.07.1c to Satish Jassal Architects Limited to provide
architectural services stages 1-3 for the Remington Road site for a
Fee of £68,588 + VAT (includes £33,760 provisional sum
for surveys).
The Council requires the services of an
Architectural practice to take these sites from RIBA Stage 1 to
3.
One option considered was to appoint an
architectural practice via a framework. This was deemed not
suitable as the value of the contract was going to be considerably
under the OJEU threshold. The list of architectural practices on
these frameworks were also not suitably sized to have an interest
in these small site schemes leading to an uncompetitive tender
process.
