Request approval to award a contract to Aston Group Limited in the
fixed sum of £72,817.80 for Ventilation Unit and minor
associated works at South Harringay Primary School pursuant to
Contract Standing Order (CSO) 9.07.1(c) and issuance of Letter of
Intent pursuant to CSO 9.07.3
A feasibility study commissioned under Priority 1 Education
Condition and Suitability Programme at South Harringay Primary
School identified urgent works were required to the install of a
new ventilation unit and minor associated works in order to comply
with the current Building Regulations
There are no resources within the Council that have the capacity
along with the necessary experience, qualifications and expertise
to deliver this service in house.
The works were competitively tendered, three contractors were
invited to tender with two bids received. These responses have been
evaluated by Potter Raper Consultancy who were appointed to provide
multi-disciplinary design services. Their recommendation for an
award is noted in this report.
