For Head of Project Delivery to vary an existing award of contract to Pellings LLP for the commissioning and delivery of surveys to support feasibility studies across four school sites

Pellings were commissioned as part of the Priority 1 Education Programme to undertake RIBA stage 0-1 (Feasibility) multi-disciplinary design services across four school sites, Alexandra Primary, Mulberry Primary, Welbourne Primary and Tetherdown Primary.

Pellings are required to undertake a topographical survey, CCTV survey and BREEAM survey as part of this commission, although included in their tender proposals the cost of these surveys was missed from their original award. This variation also seeks to include a drone survey for Mulberry and Tetherdown sites which had previously been varied for Welbourne and Alexandra sites,

The cost of surveys was included in Pellings LLP original tender, therefore forms part of their award. The Council do not have the necessary experience, qualifications and expertise to manage these surveys. Do nothing would impact on the quality of the feasibility studies.
