Authorisation is sought to vary the contract
due to additional unforeseen works to repair the unsafe and
defective upper elevation windows at Fortismere School.
The original contract sum was £130,539.00.
The finalised contract sum is now valued at £141,280.
The required uplift as a variation to cover the additional works is
£10,750.00.
To commission the works required to ensure
that Haringey Council fulfil their obligation to keep the premises
in a good state of repair; and to ensure the Health
Haringey’s internal Facilities
management providers, Amey Facilities, were considered for these
additional works, however it is more efficient and cost effective
to utilise the contractors who are currently on site, as well as
providing a continuity of quality and workmanship.
