For the Director of Adult Services to approve
the implementation of Contract Standing Order 10.01 and waive the
requirement to tender the contract with Ameo Ltd, Gatenby Sanderson
and Hays Ltd for two interim project managers and one interim
business analyst for a period of 5 months from 2 August 2017 to 29
December 2017 at a maximum total cost of £165,440 + VAT
This decision is needed to provide the
required resource to develop and deliver a set of business cases
which will determine the value of the five Councils collaborating
to address challenges in health and social care. The Councils have
already provided the funding for the project team.
The option to recruit permanent staff was
considered and rejected based on the fact that funding from the
five Councils has been agreed for 17/18 only and so the roles on
offer are not permanent. The option to second staff in from other
Councils was also considered but rejected on the grounds that each
Council could not release existing staff into these roles and/or
did not have anyone suitable.
