To approve the extension of contract to
Wealden Rehab to provide specialist bathing equipment at Osborne
Grove Nursing Home following CQC Inspection.
The requirement is for specialist bathing
equipment for residents of Osborne Grove Nursing Home. The
residents have varying complex needs that have been assessed by an
Occupational Therapist to identify the most appropriate equipment
to support residents in their bathing needs. The organisation
identified has been identified by the OT as the one most
appropriate to supply the equipment to due to the bespoke aspects
of the requirements.
All residents have been assessed and the cost associated for
purchasing the required equipment is £10236. The request is
to take the contract value to £15,000 for this financial year
to meet these costs and also to provide the capability to provide
additional equipment if required.
Alternate suppliers could be approached
however the timescale and the nature of the equipment required has
been determined that this would take too long. The supplier is
recommended by the assessment expert.
