To approve the extension of contract to TFS
Healthcare to provide Registered Nurses and Health Care Assistants
for Nursing Care provision at Osborne Grove Nursing Home following
CQC Inspection.
Osborne Grove Nursing Home is a regulated
activity with provides 24*7 Nursing Care to clients.
Following the CQC inspections at Osborne Grove Nursing Home, it has
been determined that additional nursing resource for both direct
care and clinical oversight is required.
There is a high demand for registered nursing in the market place
and have explored providers.
The current approved contract value is £45,000 and has been
fully utilised for staffing resources employed since December
2016.
The proposed contract will be extended for a period of 6 months
from 1st April 2017 to 30th September 2017 at a cost of
£230k, with provision for extension for a further 3 months to
31st December 2017. The total contract value including the
extension will be £326k (including the £45k already
approved).
The existing agency provider has not been able
to supply suitable resources of an appropriate skill set in
sufficient and timely supply. In addition have approached
Whittington Hospital for support from their Nurse bank but this has
also been unsuccessful.
