To approve the extension of contract to Seven
Nursing to provide Registered Nurses for Nursing Care provision at
Osborne Grove Nursing Home and a CHS Nurse Assessor following the
increase in the number of CHC Assessments that are now required to
be completed.
Osborne Grove Nursing Home is a regulated activity with provides
24*7 Nursing Care to clients.
Following the CQC inspections at Osborne Grove Nursing Home, it has
been determined that additional nursing resource for both direct
care and clinical oversight is required.
There is a high demand for registered nursing in the market place
and have explored providers.
As a result of the increase in the number of CHC assessments that
are required to be completed, a CHC Nurse Assessor is also required
to ensure that these assessments are completed appropriately.
The proposed contract will be extended for a period of 9 months
from 1st April 2017 to 31st December 2017 at a cost of
£70,000, with provision for extension for a further 3 months.
The total contract value including the extension will be
£105,000.
The existing agency provider has not been able
to supply suitable resources of an appropriate skill set in
sufficient and timely supply. In addition have approached
Whittington Hospital for support from their Nurse bank but this has
also been unsuccessful.
