It is recommended that:

The Head of Housing Development approves awarding a contract to Orbis Protect Limited for a lock change to units 3 – 6 and 8 Barbara Hucklesbury Close N22 in accordance with CSOs 11.01 and 11.02 for the value of £500 plus VAT.

The properties are currently secured by Orbis Protect to prevent unauthorised access and squatting.

As the site is now being brought forward for development, urgent access is required to undertake asbestos surveys, which are a statutory requirement prior to any intrusive works or redevelopment activities.

The Voids Team have been unable to locate the existing keys.

The properties are currently fitted with enhanced security doors and associated security measures installed to prevent unauthorised access and squatting.

Due to the specialist nature of these security installations, the works cannot be undertaken by a traditional locksmith, therefore, awarding this contract is the only viable option.

The value of the contract is £500 plus VAT.

To vary a contract to C & E Consultancy Ltd for in-Situ Interim Project Manager Resource, Major Projects Delivery Team by £73,125 increasing the contract value from £146,250.00 to £219,375 as allowed under Contract Standing Order (CSO) 18.03.3 and CSO 2.05.1.n.

It is recommended that:

The Head of Housing Development approves awarding a contract to Hexis Support Services Ltd to provide site security services for Station Road Temporary Accommodation Lodge in accordance with CSOs 11.01 and 11.02 for the value of £24,199.98 plus VAT.

This service is required to secure the site to prevent squatters returning and living in the buildings which are unfit for human inhabitation.

To vary a contract to Kilmor Consulting Ltd for in-Situ Interim Project Manager Resource, Major Projects Delivery Team by £79,625 increasing the contract value from £159,250 to £238,875 as allowed under contract standing order (CSO) 18.03.3 and CSO 2.05.1.n.

For the Joint Head of Housing Development, Finance & Resources, to approve entering into a contract with Anderson, Wilde & Harris Limited to provide Rights of Light Surveyor services in relation to the development at 505-511 Archway Road N6, for a sum of £12,500.00 pursuant to Contract Standing Orders 11.01 and 11.02 – approval of award of Contracts with a value up to £25,000.

Anderson, Wilde & Harris Limited have not to date carried out any previous work on this project.

The total cost of work carried out by Anderson, Wilde & Harris Limited over the life of the project (including this appointment) to date is £12,500+VAT.

For the Joint Head of Housing Development, Finance & Resources, to approve entering into a contract with Blackacre Surveyors Limited to provide Rights of Light Surveyor services in relation to the development at 505-511 Archway Road N6, for a sum of £5,000.00 pursuant to Contract Standing Orders 11.01 and 11.02 – approval of award of Contracts with a value up to £25,000.

Blackacre Surveyors Limited have not to date carried out any previous work on this project.

The total cost of work carried out by Blackacre Surveyors Limited over the life of the project (including this appointment) to date is £5,000+VAT.
