MATTERS RAISED BY INTERESTED GROUPS

Meeting: 04/10/2021 - Alexandra Palace and Park Consultative Committee (Item 46)

MATTERS RAISED BY INTERESTED GROUPS

Minutes:

The representative of the Alexandra Park & Palace Conservation Area Advisory Committee sought clarification as to the constitutional position of the JSAC/CC and  whether it was a Council Committee. Was it classed as an informal meeting or an outside body, for example. Concerns were raised around a duplication of membership across the Consultative Committee and the SAC. (Action: Clerk).

As part of the Alexandra Palace and Park Governance Review, at the meeting of the Statutory Advisory Committee on 25th January 2011 and the meeting of the Consultative Committee on 8th February 2011 it was agreed that two trial meetings of the Informal Joint Statutory Advisory and Consultative Committees would take place on 5th April 2011 and 31st May 2011.  The Consultative Committee is a Council Committee, but the JSAC/CC is not considered to be a formal committee. This informal arrangement has continued to date.  The Alexandra Park and Palace Statutory Advisory Committee is classed as an external body established under the terms of the Alexandra Park and Palace Act 1985.  The Alexandra Palace and Park Consultative Committee is a Committee of the Council as set out in Part 3, Section B of the Council’s Constitution.
