To request approval to award a contract to
McBains Limited as allowed under the Crown Commercial Services
Framework for multi-disciplinary design services in relation to
producing the specification tendering and contract administration
of the building services improvements programme for Wave 1 Lot 2
sites which include Campsbourne Primary School, Earlham Primary
School, Seven Sisters Primary School and West Green Primary School,
RIBA stages 1-6. The value of this award is
£281,828.44
Feasibility studies were commissioned for Wave
1 Lot 2 sites under the Priority 1 Education Condition and
Suitability Programme. Each study identified building services
works (mechanical and electrical systems) required at Campsbourne,
Earlham, Seven Sisters and Bruce Grove Primary Schools which had
been assessed under wave one Priority 1 Education Condition and
Suitability Programme
Delivering the role in-house was considered.
However, there is currently no resource within the Council that has
the capacity along with the necessary experience, qualifications
and expertise to deliver this service. The Crown Commercial
Services Framework was chosen to procure the required
resources
