That the Assistant Director for Housing:

1) Approves the award of contract to Paragon Building Solutions
Ltd. for the quoted sum of £69,098, which includes a 10%
contingency allowance within the tender sum with a contract period
of 12 weeks.
2) Approves the total project fees of £12,645.
3) Notes the total project cost of £81,743
Approval of the tender is required to allow
essential single storey rear flat roof extension with internal and
external refurbishment works. Paragon Building Solutions Ltd have
submitted the most economically advantageous tender.
The tenant has been approved by Denise Gandy,
Executive Director of Housing Demand as requiring an additional
bedroom, bathroom and this is in line with giving assistance to our
Foster Care Homes currently in the Borough. The options of doing
nothing was considered but ruled out as Haringey Council have
responsibility to assist the current Borough-wide problem of foster
care homes.
