To approve (1) the waiver of Contract Standing Order (CSO) 8.03 (requirement to obtain quotations) Under CSO 10.01.1b; in addition, (2) the approval for the award of the contract under CSO 9.07.1 (c)

Approve the appointment Kirkman and Jourdain Ltd to undertake required construction works for a total sum of £48,350.97,

Approval to instruct Haringey Council Legal Services to issue a Letter of Intent permitting orders to be raised by Kirkman & Jourdain Ltd with their supply chain; up to and not exceeding 10% of the contract sum.

To enter into a contract to urgently deliver the identified adaptation and lighting works to the Autistic Spectrum Service Area of the Ermine Road Day Centre building.

Consideration was given to undertaking a formal competitive tender exercise whereby a number of suppliers would be invited to bid for the required works, this would require a number of weeks to fully conclude, this was discounted on the basis that it would mean the required project timescales would not be met.

An alternative option is to do nothing, this would mean not entering into a contract for delivery of the project, the project would not be able to progress which means the outcomes along with the anticipated revenue savings from the agreed Adult services transformation would not be achieved.
