Additional Information

I was elected as a councillor for Tottenham Green ward in May 2010 having been actively involved in Tottenham having lived there for a number of years now.  My role is to work with all local residents to offer them help and support when needed and to represent their interests within the Council and other partner organisations.

I have been involved in politics from a young age to stand up and represent my peers where I believed their views were not being properly represented.  After completing a BA in History and Politics and an MA in International Relations at the University of Warwick I was elected as the Education Officer and Deputy President for the Students Union to represent the interests of 20k and students of all ages.

Since then I spent three years working for Haringey Council firstly supporting a number of Cabinet Members before going onto work within a project management role within the council's children and young people's services.  I joined Healthcare for London in July 2009 to lead on the development of a new model of care for how children and young people access healthcare in the capital and I now work for an acute hospital trust leading on a number of significant changes to the way in which their clinical services are organised and run.

I was also a governor and vice chair of the GB at North Harringay Primary School for three years and spent two years as a governor at Bruce Grove Primary School.

My interests include local health and education services as well as economic regeneration.
