Eleven Borough Wards' alcohol PSPO's were extended on the 19th of October 2023 for 18 months. The PSPO's expire on the 18th of April 2025, prior to their expiration the council seeks to expand the order to include additional prohibitions to protect the public against emerging issues such as street urination, spitting, aggressive begging. This would require a full meaningful co-production and consultation, which is expected to take between 6 and 12 months.
