Haringey's boroughwide dog control PSPO expires on the 19th October 2023. There is a recommendation, subject to the outcome of the consultation exercise, to extend the existing PSPO for 18 months whilst there is a consideration of expanding the order to include additonal prohibitions. This would require a full meaningful co-production and consultation, which is expected to take between 6 and 12 months. During this time, to ensure that the community does not lose the protection of the existing PSPO prohibitions, we propose to extend the existing PSPO for a period of 18 months.
