e-Petitions

One of the easiest and most popular ways for you to get involved in the democratic process is to sign a petition. Our e-petition system allows you to easily collect signatures via the internet, in addition to paper petitions.

E-petitions are part of Haringey’s ongoing commitment to listening to your views. They are a quick and easy way to bring issues to the attention of the Council and to influence local decision-making.

Submitting an e-petition

You can submit your petition by clicking on the link below and following the instructions.

When the e-petition reaches its closing date, it will no longer be possible for anyone to sign it online. The list of signatories will be collated by officers and you will be contacted regarding the submission of the completed e-petition.

Further details, including what your petition should relate to and how the council will respond, can be found on our main petitions page.

Paper petitions

You can submit a petition in paper and electronic form however repeat names should be removed by the lead petitioner. Both forms should run for the same period of time and must be submitted together. When submitting an e-petition request please let us know if you are running a paper petition as well so that this can be highlighted on the website and officers are able to include both details in the final count.

Petitions that have only been submitted in paper form can be viewed on our paper petitions page.

Disclaimer

Haringey Council accepts no liability for the petitions on these web pages. The views expressed in the petitions do not necessarily reflect those of the Council.

Whilst the council will host e-petitions on its website, it will not generally promote individual e-petitions. It is therefore down to the lead petitioner to spread the word about their e-petition in order to get as many people as possible to sign up. If this is not done then your e-petition could receive no signatures.
