We the undersigned petition the council to work with Barnet Council to introduce a 20 mile per hour speed limit on the streets around Coldfall primary school and Coppetts Wood primary school, and to create more pedestrian crossings on Colney Hatch Lane. We want our local streets to be safer for all pedestrians, especially our children when they are walking to and from school.

We are a group of local residents, parents, carers, and school workers who are concerned about the safety of pedestrians – particularly school children – on the streets around Coldfall School (Haringey) and Coppetts Wood School (Barnet). We are campaigning for both councils to work jointly to introduce a 20 mph speed limit on the streets around these schools, plus other measures such as more and safer crossings for pedestrians on Colney Hatch Lane. There is currently an absurd situation in Haringey where we have a (much welcomed) 20mph zone around Fortismere school which ends outside Coldfall school where it becomes a 30mph speed limit.

On reaching 2200 signatures A debate will be held at full Council
