Parkland Walk

We the undersigned petition the council to refrain from making the planned cuts in the parks budget.

The Council should cut back their costs and activities in areas which do not correspond approximately to the basic and core services for which councils were originally constituted. Such costs and activities might include high salaries for non front line functionaries, dissemination of "news" in the form of magazines and newspapers. A genuinely fair minded analysis shouls be made. Core activities are such things as road cleaning, rubbish collection, education, parks (Councils were great on parks in the past - they fell off a lot and are now back to pretty good.)

On reaching 2200 signatures A debate will be held at full Council
