ISSUES ARISING FROM THE FORUM Minutes: The Committee noted the discussions that had taken place during the forum.
Results of the Finsbury Park events consultation
The Committee noted the comments raised, and requested that they be fed back to Simon Farrow.
· There were concerns over setting up the stakeholder group – would this include Hackney and Islington Council? · The plans to close the Oxford Road gate during events would not necessarily address the issue of the groups of people drinking at the Faltering Fullback public – could a drinking order be imposed in that area? · Was there a fine system in place to cover any remedial works that the Council may have to carry out once an event has left the park? · Information on how residents can request a licensing review should be made clearer.
Site Allocations DPD
The Committee noted the comments made in regard to the consultation:
· Any development must take into account that it was not just about building houses – there needed to be schools, shops, transport links, health care etc in order to sustain the influx of new residents. · The document caused confusion over what was intended for the sites. It needed to be explained in the document why the consultation was taking place, otherwise it gave the impression that it had already been decided that development would take place on the sites.
