To award a contract to Capita PLC for the
provision of commercial and property advisory services to assist
the Council progress regeneration across a range of sites in
Tottenham and in the borough’s other major growth area, Wood
Green, and other strategic sites across the borough.
There is a need for professional commercial
and property advice to assist the council in progressing and
delivering regeneration schemes and growth activities
The following two options were also
considered:
Not to award a contract – however, this would mean that the
Council would not be able to call upon any professional commercial
and property advice. The Council could not take the development and
growth projects forward if it did not have the necessary expertise
as the Council would be exposing itself to significant legal,
financial and political risk.
To carry out the work in house – however, there is no
resource within the Council that has the necessary experience,
qualifications and expertise to deliver this advice.
